Description

The Arts Curricular Innovation Grants (ACIG) Program, funded by the General Assembly of South Carolina through Proviso 1A.8, is administered by the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE). The purpose of the 2024-25 Distinguished Arts Program (DAP) is to support schools and districts in developing and implementing arts initiatives that significantly improve student achievement in the arts. The program focuses on developing comprehensive and sequential arts programs including dance, music, theatre, and visual arts during the regular school day. Approximately $700,000 is available for DAP, with maximum awards of $40,000 for districts and $18,000 for schools. Eligible applicants are South Carolina K–12 public schools and school districts. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2024, and the funding period runs from July 1, 2024, to May 30, 2025.
