Description

The 2025-2026 Mortgage Grant Fund Program (MGF) aims to provide financial education related to mortgage loans and support for financial literacy that leads to homeownership. Eligible applicants include auxiliary mortgage loan activity companies registered in Texas, other non-profit organizations, and for-profit entities with statewide impact. Applications must be submitted by midnight on August 30, 2024. Grants range from $5,000 to $100,000. A Q&A webinar will be held in the third week of July 2024 for further guidance.
The program goals include offering financial education, supporting the mortgage financial education community, and improving financial health to help consumers obtain and maintain mortgage loans. Eligible activities include financial literacy education, homeownership counseling, and train-the-trainer programs. The grant requires submission of semi-annual reports and a longitudinal report to track performance and outcomes.
