Grant opportunity: Downtown Commercial & Residential Building Improvement Program in Florida. Funding available for building façade and/or building stabilization improvements to encourage reuse of vacant or underutilized properties, improve appearance, and support the long-term viability of downtown Orlando. Eligible buildings must be located within the Downtown CRA and contribute to the CRA through the payment of ad valorem taxes. Commercial buildings in specified planning areas are eligible for funding up to $80,000 or 50% of total improvements. Residential buildings are eligible for funding up to $30,000 or 50% of total improvements. Eligible improvements include façade rehabilitation, exterior lighting, hardscape improvements, building stabilization such as roof repair/replacement and interior structural improvements.
