2025 Shooting Range Development Grants

Description
The Idaho Fish and Game (IDFG) range grant program supports Idaho public ranges or affiliated clubs in providing environmentally sound and safe projects for the public to learn, practice, and improve shooting skills. Eligible applicants include non-profit shooting organizations and units of state or local governments that own and manage shooting ranges. Grants are reimbursement-based, with limited availability for cash advances. The program awards up to $555,000 annually, funded through federal excise taxes on firearms, ammunition, and archery equipment managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, along with fines and forfeitures from wildlife crimes. Applications are due by November 1, 2024, and will be reviewed by the Citizen Advisory Committee in April 2025, with final contract notifications expected by June 2025.
