Youth Stop Hunger Innovation Grants
This grant provides $2,500 to youth teams in the U.S. who are developing innovative projects to tackle the root causes of hunger and promote sustainable solutions in their communities.
Description
The Youth Stop Hunger Innovation Grant, funded by the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, offers $2,500 grants to teams of 2-5 youth in the U.S. (ages 5 to 25) who are eager to create sustainable, community-driven solutions to hunger. This initiative seeks projects that go beyond immediate hunger relief by addressing root causes like food waste, climate change, poverty, and systemic issues such as low wages, lack of affordable housing, and disparities in education and healthcare. Twelve grants will be awarded for 2024, with applications due by 11:59 pm on December 8, 2024.
Applicants should propose innovative, actionable projects that engage other youth in volunteerism and aim for lasting change in their communities. While projects may be at a beginning stage, applicants should outline how their ideas could evolve into enduring systems to reduce hunger. Interested teams should convey their unique perspectives on the root causes of hunger in their area and propose initial steps toward sustainable impact.
