Healthy Incentive Grant 2025
This funding opportunity supports Oklahoma municipalities in implementing initiatives that promote tobacco-free environments, improve access to healthy foods, and encourage physical activity to enhance community health and well-being.
Description
The TSET (Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust) Healthy Incentive Grant for Communities supports municipalities in Oklahoma by providing funding to adopt effective practices for fostering tobacco-free spaces, enhancing access to healthy foods, and promoting physical activity. This program aims to improve local health outcomes and overall quality of life by encouraging community-centered initiatives aligned with TSET’s health and wellness objectives.
For the fiscal year 2025, the grant application is open during two periods: October 25 through November 22, 2024, and March 3 through March 28, 2025, closing at 4:00 p.m. on the last day of each period. Grant funds are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, emphasizing the importance of timely applications due to high demand and limited funds. The application, along with related guidelines and a resource guide, is accessible online, and a sample application for communities is available to assist applicants in preparing their submissions.
Applications undergo a comprehensive review based on the submitted documentation, and only complete and properly filled applications are considered. Following the review, eligible applications are forwarded to the TSET Board of Directors, who make the final funding decisions. If an application is deemed incomplete or ineligible, it will be disqualified from further review. All applicants—whether awarded funding, not funded, or found ineligible—are notified of their status within one business day after the board meeting.
Successful applicants are expected to utilize the funds to create measurable, sustainable health benefits for their communities, in alignment with TSET’s goals. For any inquiries regarding the application process, including submission guidelines or review timelines, applicants may contact TSET at grantsmanagement@tset.ok.gov. Additionally, prospective applicants can consult the TSET Board of Directors’ meeting schedule for insight into the timeline of funding decisions.
This program presents a valuable opportunity for Oklahoma municipalities to improve public health infrastructure through targeted, community-oriented projects that emphasize healthy lifestyles, accessible nutrition, and tobacco-free living.
