2025 Copic Medical Foundation Grant
This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations focused on developing innovative solutions to reduce fragmentation in healthcare, ultimately improving patient safety and care delivery.
Description
The Copic Medical Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is committed to enhancing healthcare outcomes through grants and scholarships. Established in honor of Harold "Hal" Williamson, the foundation aims to reduce adverse medical outcomes and drive innovation in healthcare. Since 1991, it has distributed over $12 million to initiatives improving patient care and safety across multiple states.
For 2025, the foundation's grant focus is reducing fragmentation across care settings, a critical issue in patient safety. Fragmentation in healthcare can lead to adverse outcomes such as medication errors, delayed treatments, and increased readmissions. The foundation supports programs addressing these challenges through scalable or replicable solutions. This marks the final grant cycle with this focus, with a new priority area to be announced in fall 2025.
Eligible projects must demonstrate potential for sustainability, feasibility, and replicability within the healthcare community. Examples include systems changes, pilot programs to reduce medical errors, and tools improving care delivery. Applicants must represent a 501(c)(3) organization or have an appropriate fiduciary.
The grant application deadline is January 15, 2025, by 5 p.m. (Mountain Time). Award decisions will be announced by March 31, 2025. Applicants can submit proposals via the foundation’s RFP submission platform and may reach out to Executive Director Meredith Hintze for inquiries at mhintze@copic.com.
An annual Grantee Summit brings together current and past grantees, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing on reducing healthcare fragmentation. This event highlights the foundation’s role as a catalyst for systemic improvements, aligning grantee efforts to achieve meaningful, nationwide healthcare impacts.
