Morrison Area Community Foundation Grant 2025
This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations in the Morrison area that are working on projects to improve education, culture, recreation, and the local economy.
Description
The Morrison Area Community Foundation (MACF) Grant aims to support projects that enhance and improve the educational, cultural, recreational, and economic environment of the City of Morrison and surrounding areas. This funding opportunity is made possible through the generous contributions of local donors who wish to make a positive impact on their community. Grants are available for nonprofit organizations addressing a broad range of needs, including arts and culture, health, human services, and community betterment. The foundation offers two grant cycles per year, one in the spring and another in the fall, providing financial support to initiatives that align with its mission.
For the 2025 Spring Grant cycle, applications open on January 1, 2025, and must be submitted by March 31, 2025. Award notifications will be made by May 2, 2025. The maximum award amount for this cycle is up to $2,500. The funding amount for the Fall Grant cycle is yet to be announced. All applications must be submitted through the foundation’s online grant system, where applicants can complete, save, and track their submissions. The grant selection process is competitive, with applications reviewed and scored against others before final recommendations are made by the MACF advisory board.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations that serve the Morrison area and address a variety of community needs. However, funding is not available for annual campaigns, organizational endowments, political activities, deficit financing, individual grants, or sectarian purposes. Additionally, applicants must comply with the Quad Cities Community Foundation’s Diversity and Non-Discrimination Policy. The foundation encourages grant recipients to share their success stories, demonstrating the impact of the funding on their charitable missions.
Final reports are required from all grant recipients and must be submitted through the same online grant system used for applications. These reports must be completed within one year of receiving the grant and should detail how the funds were used to support the intended project. The foundation provides guidance and support for applicants throughout the process and encourages prospective applicants to reach out for assistance in determining if their project aligns with MACF’s funding priorities.
