Centre PACT Grant
This program provides funding to nonprofit organizations in Centre County, Pennsylvania, to support projects that benefit youth by addressing issues like mental health, educational equity, and access to extracurricular activities.
Description
The Centre PACT Grant Program, administered by Centre Foundation, supports projects benefiting youth (Pre-K–12) in Centre County, Pennsylvania. This initiative, part of a hands-on philanthropy program led by high school students, funds local nonprofits addressing issues affecting young people. Students identify community needs, solicit and review applications, and allocate funds to impactful projects.
Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofits addressing youth-related issues in areas such as mental health, access to extracurricular activities and essential goods, and educational equity. Proposed projects must comply with Centre Foundation's Nondiscrimination Policy and serve young people in Centre County. Recipients are required to attend Centre PACT’s year-end celebration in June 2025 and provide a project update during a Fall 2025 meeting.
Applications must be submitted through the Foundant Grant Portal by January 9, 2025, at 11:59 PM, with grant decisions announced by April 30, 2025. Funding ranges from $500 to $5,000, with an average award of $1,400. Applicants must provide a detailed project budget, including itemized costs and revenue sources, and clearly describe the project’s purpose, goals, anticipated outcomes, and the number and demographics of those served. Organizations must also highlight how youth input has influenced the project’s development or implementation.
