Description

United Way of Weld County has announced the grant application period for the 2025–2026 funding cycle, which will provide support for nonprofit organizations addressing critical community needs throughout Weld County, Colorado. This grant cycle spans from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The deadline to submit applications is March 24, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Funding is not guaranteed, and organizations are encouraged to apply early to ensure full consideration.

Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status that have been operational for at least six months. Organizations must be in good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State and either already be accredited with the Better Business Bureau or be willing to become accredited. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate a physical and service presence within Weld County, have sufficient organizational capacity to carry out the proposed work, and commit to providing services equitably without discrimination based on race, religion, gender identity, disability, or any other protected class.

A core requirement for funding consideration is participation in the Collective Impact framework. This model is based on the belief that complex social problems require long-term commitment and collaboration among various stakeholders. Rather than functioning independently, funded organizations will be expected to work toward shared goals with other local entities to drive broad, systemic change throughout Weld County.

Funding investment priorities are focused on four key areas. These include “Reading Great by 8,” which promotes early childhood success and literacy by grade four; “Thrive by 25,” which aims to connect youth with supportive adults to guide them toward high school graduation and successful adulthood; “Weld’s Way Home,” which addresses homelessness through stable housing solutions; and “Aging Weld,” which supports older adults in leading productive, fulfilling lives within the community.

To begin the application process or receive assistance, organizations are directed to contact Ty Lamm at tlamm@unitedway-weld.org. All applications must be submitted by the March 24 deadline, and applicants are encouraged to fully align their proposed work with the organization’s funding priorities and collective impact principles. This opportunity reflects United Way of Weld County’s commitment to fostering sustained community improvements through collaborative, equitable approaches.
