Description
Emily’s Bloomin’ Youth Fund, managed by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, supports nonprofit organizations that offer outdoor, nature-based programming for at-risk or disconnected youth ages 10–18 in Orleans Parish. The fund was established in 2015 and is committed to cultivating environmental stewardship and life skills among youth through educational and experiential activities in natural settings.
Grants from this fund support initiatives that teach young participants about the natural world and their role as conservationists. At the same time, the funded programs are expected to promote the development of professional, teamwork, and communication skills. The overarching goals are to encourage a sense of social responsibility and help youth establish a healthy work ethic through meaningful, nature-focused experiences.
The application process opens on March 24, 2025, and proposals must be submitted by April 17, 2025. All applications must be submitted via the Foundation’s online grant portal.
