Water Supply Reserve Fund Grants
This program provides financial assistance to Colorado water users for projects that address critical water supply challenges, including studies, infrastructure maintenance, and environmental compliance.
Description
The Water Supply Reserve Fund (WSRF) Grant Program, initiated by the Colorado General Assembly through Senate Bill 06-179, is designed to assist Colorado water users in addressing critical water supply issues. Managed by the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), the program funds various water-related activities including technical assistance, feasibility studies, environmental compliance, structural and nonstructural project studies, and infrastructure maintenance. Applications for funding must receive approval from one of Colorado’s nine basin roundtables before being forwarded to the CWCB for final decision-making. The program allows for the coupling of grants with low-interest loans to fulfill funding needs. Applications are submitted through the CWCB Portal, and deadlines occur bi-monthly starting from October 1st.
