Collaborating to Engage People with HIV in Care or Ryan White Programs Collaborating to Engage People in HIV Care

This grant provides funding to organizations that will coordinate statewide meetings to develop strategies for engaging and connecting individuals with HIV to essential healthcare services.

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is forecasting the release of the Collaborating to Engage People with HIV in Care or Ryan White Programs Collaborating to Engage People in HIV Care grant. This opportunity seeks to support technical assistance providers in planning and coordinating statewide convenings across multiple Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) components. The primary goal is to develop actionable strategies for engaging individuals with HIV who are not currently receiving care and linking them to essential health services.

The grant will fund one technical assistance (TA) provider to facilitate a statewide convening of RWHAP Parts A, B, C, D, and Part F-AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETCs) in four different states. The convening will bring together stakeholders to develop an action plan designed to identify, reach, and connect individuals with HIV to appropriate care programs. The funded organization will be responsible for coordinating meetings, facilitating discussions, and ensuring that best practices are shared across the participating entities.

HRSA has allocated an estimated $1,500,000 in total funding for this program, with an expected number of five (5) awards. The funding will be issued as a cooperative agreement, allowing for close collaboration between HRSA and the recipient organizations. While there is no cost-sharing or matching requirement, awardees must adhere to the outlined program objectives and requirements. The anticipated start date for funded projects is September 30, 2025.

Eligible applicants for this grant opportunity include national organizations, state, territorial, local, and tribal governments, institutions of higher education (both public and private), non-profit organizations (including faith-based and community-based organizations), and academic health science centers. The eligibility criteria ensure a wide range of potential applicants capable of successfully implementing the program’s goals.

The estimated application posting date is April 18, 2025, with applications due by June 18, 2025. Interested applicants should prepare for the submission process by reviewing HRSA’s technical assistance guidance and ensuring that their proposals align with the objectives of engaging and connecting people with HIV to healthcare services.

For more information or specific inquiries, interested applicants can contact Susan Robilotto at 301-443-0000 or via email at srobilotto@hrsa.gov. Additional details will become available as HRSA releases updates on the opportunity closer to the official posting date.
