Description

The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) is accepting applications for the Small Grant Program for New Investigators (R03 Clinical Trial Not Allowed). This program supports early-career researchers in oral, dental, and craniofacial research through pilot or feasibility studies and developmental projects. The goal is to help new investigators collect preliminary data to support future applications for larger research grants, such as the R01.

Grants offer up to $100,000 in funding, with no cost-sharing required. Eligible applicants include state and local governments, tribal organizations, higher education institutions, nonprofits, small businesses, and other organizations. Applications are due by January 7, 2025.

The program focuses on providing resources for basic or clinical research projects that enable new investigators to establish their independent research careers. Clinical trials are not permitted under this funding opportunity.
