The Caring for Colorado Foundation supports children, youth, and families through funding opportunities designed to create equity and foster long-term well-being in Pueblo County. Grants are focused on four key areas: Basic Needs, Social & Emotional Well-Being, Behavioral Health, and Economic Stability & Advancement. These initiatives aim to empower families and communities, ensuring children grow up in safe, stable, and nurturing environments that set them on a path to success.
The foundation prioritizes equitable access to services and supports that address critical needs such as safety, nutrition, housing, and transportation. It also seeks to cultivate opportunities for youth and families to develop strong identities, form supportive relationships, and engage meaningfully in their communities. Behavioral health and economic stability are additional focus areas, emphasizing access to mental health services, quality education, and employment opportunities.
The application process for Children, Youth, and Families funding includes two stages. Part 1 applications are due January 16, 2025, by 5:00 PM, and organizations invited to submit Part 2 applications must do so by February 20, 2025, by 5:00 PM. Approved grants will commence on July 1, 2025. Organizations can apply for funding in one or more focus areas without needing to address all simultaneously. Collaborative applications are welcomed, and organizations can consult with foundation staff to discuss alignment with funding priorities.
