ArtsWestchester provides grants to support cultural organizations and individual artists throughout Westchester and Rockland Counties, New York. These grants fund various arts initiatives, including project support, community-focused arts programs, and funding for artists creating new work. The funding is made possible by Westchester County Government and aims to enhance accessibility to the arts while promoting cultural diversity and artistic excellence in the region.
For the 2025-2026 cycle, the Project Support grant is now open for applications. This funding opportunity is designed for small to mid-sized nonprofit cultural organizations, organizations whose public programming is developed and funded by friends groups, and organizations offering a season of arts programs or education-based activities. ArtsWestchester broadly defines "projects" and will consider applications for a season of related events (such as film series, concerts, workshops, or education series), individual programs or events (such as exhibitions or performances), special programs (such as festivals), or pilot projects.
The deadline for submission is Monday, April 7, 2025, by 11:59 PM. Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend an informational session before applying. A Zoom Info Session will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 1 PM, covering both Project Support grants (1 PM - 2 PM) and the Yonkers/Mount Vernon Arts Initiatives (2 PM - 3 PM). In-person info sessions will also be available on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Yonkers Public Library, and Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 5:00 - 6:30 PM at Ossining Public Library. Applications are submitted electronically via Submittable. Panelists, who play a critical role in reviewing applications, are selected from a diverse range of backgrounds, including arts professionals and knowledgeable laypersons. ArtsWestchester prioritizes geographic, ethnic, and cultural diversity in its panelist selection process.
