The Diversity Pathway Intervention Grant Program is designed to provide financial support for initiatives aimed at assisting college students and college graduates from historically underrepresented racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic backgrounds in successfully entering law school and pursuing a career in the legal profession. The program focuses on increasing the enrollment and success of these students by funding collaborative programs that offer both content and holistic support. The ultimate goal is to create a knowledge base around effective methods for preparing these individuals for law school and law school admission processes. The program encourages long-term success through data-driven, outcome-focused initiatives.

To be eligible for funding, the program must span between 12 to 24 months and request funding between $200,000 and $300,000. The core objectives of the funded programs should include clear goals with measurable outcomes. Programs should prepare participants for the law school admission process, ensuring that the activities align directly with the program's goals. This preparation must be evaluated using valid data collection methods and tracking techniques that extend beyond the life of the program. Furthermore, an effective evaluation plan is required to document relevant outcomes, such as law school admission success.

In addition to the essential criteria, preference will be given to programs that target individuals intending to enter law school within two years of the grant period and those with lower standardized test scores or grades. Programs utilizing a treatment/control group methodology for program evaluation or those providing long-term support for participants are also encouraged. Collaboration with other institutions or organizations is a significant aspect of successful applications.

Interested applicants must submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) between January 27, 2025, and March 1, 2025, by 11:59 pm ET. Notifications of proposal invitations will be sent out by May 16, 2025. The full proposal deadline is July 25, 2025, at 11:59 pm ET. Funding invitations will be announced by October 3, 2025.
