Robeson County Community Foundation Grant
This grant provides funding to charitable organizations serving Robeson County, with a focus on initiatives that address local community needs, including support for Native American educational projects.
Description
The Robeson County Community Foundation (RCCF), a local affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF), will accept applications for its 2025 grant cycle from March 28 through noon Eastern Time on April 29, 2025. RCCF was established in 2005 and is managed by a local volunteer advisory board. The Foundation supports charitable initiatives that serve Robeson County by growing community assets, managing endowments, and awarding grants that reflect local priorities.
Qualified charitable organizations serving the Robeson County community are eligible to apply through NCCF’s online application portal. First-time applicants must follow guidelines in Training Module I to create a profile, while returning applicants should use their existing login information. The process of submitting a grant application is outlined in Training Module II. Adherence to all published guidelines is required; applications that do not comply will be ineligible for funding.
In 2024, RCCF awarded a total of $17,570 through this competitive process. Typical grant awards range from $1,000 to $2,500. Grants are issued from both the general community grantmaking fund and the Frank M. & Betty Fukuda Memorial Fund. The Fukuda Fund specifically supports Native American causes, with a strong emphasis on educational projects. Proposals that align with this mission may be given funding preference under that fund.
Grant applications are assessed by the advisory board using criteria informed by the annual community needs assessment, which is available for public review at the end of RCCF’s grant page. Funding decisions are typically announced within two months following the close of the application window. All applicants are encouraged to review this assessment to align their proposals with identified local needs and opportunities.
For assistance or questions about the application process, organizations may contact the Program Officer through NCCF.
