This program provides funding to Greenville County schools to improve arts education through well-planned projects and activities.

Description

The School Quarterly Project Grants Program provides funding to Greenville County schools to enhance arts education within the basic curriculum. This program is open to both public and certified private schools in Greenville County, aiming to foster a deeper appreciation for the arts through in-school and after-school activities, performances, exhibitions, and artist residencies. Only thoroughly planned and confirmed projects are eligible, as the program does not fund conceptual or tentative initiatives.

Eligibility
To qualify, schools must:

Be a public or certified private school in Greenville County.
Have no outstanding MAC project grants.
Submit only one application per quarter, with a maximum of two grants per fiscal year.
Ensure all prior grant projects are completed with an approved final report before reapplying.
Each school principal is responsible for coordinating the timing of applications and ensuring all final reports are submitted on time.

Funding and Matching Requirements
Each grant provides up to $2,000, with a required 1:1 cash match. No in-kind contributions are accepted as part of the match, and each project must adhere strictly to budget requirements. Additionally, a single project cannot receive funding from multiple quarterly grants.

Application Deadlines and Process
Applications must be postmarked or delivered to the MAC office by 5 PM on the quarterly deadlines:

1st Quarter: February 15, 2024 (for projects beginning May–July 2024)
2nd Quarter: May 15, 2024 (for projects beginning August–October 2024)
3rd Quarter: August 15, 2024 (for projects beginning November 2024–January 2025)
4th Quarter: November 15, 2024 (for projects beginning February–April 2025)
Applications must be submitted with an original and 9 stapled copies (10 total). Late submissions, as well as faxed or emailed applications, will not be accepted. If the deadline falls on a holiday or weekend, it shifts to the next business day.
