The fund prioritizes projects that align with local, state, and federal floodplain management standards, local resilience plans, and the Virginia Coastal Resilience Master Plan. It aims to empower communities to conduct vulnerability assessments and develop action-oriented approaches to enhance flood preparedness and resilience. Applications will be accepted starting September 10, 2024, and will close on November 9, 2024. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
