Youth, Environment & Community Grants
This grant provides unrestricted funding to nonprofit organizations in Hawaiʻi and Oregon focused on climate change, ecosystem protection, youth advocacy, education, or reducing childhood poverty.
Description
This grant supports nonprofit organizations operating in Hawaiʻi and/or Oregon that work in the areas of climate change mitigation, ecosystem protection, youth advocacy, youth education, or reducing childhood poverty. The grant funds are 100% unrestricted, meaning organizations can decide how to allocate the funds—whether for general operating needs or specific projects. However, grants must be used for work in Hawaiʻi and/or Oregon, even for organizations with a broader reach. Applicants must submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) through the online portal as the first step. If the LOI is approved, the organization may proceed to submit a full application, which must be submitted one month before the next board meeting. The maximum grant award is $50,000.
LOIs should be submitted before accessing the full application; LOIs are reviewed within approximately seven days.
