Description
The Bronx Community Foundation (BxCF) has opened its Fall 2024 Participatory Grantmaking RFP to support Bronx-based organizations working on transformative projects in the areas of Community and Health. This grant cycle seeks proposals that address systemic issues in The Bronx, offering funding of up to $10,000 per organization. Eligible projects under the Community pillar include arts, culture, intergenerational services, and civic engagement initiatives, while Health-focused grants target efforts such as increasing health equity, food sovereignty, mental health services, and environmental health. Funds may cover program costs, staff expenses, training, workshops, and operational needs critical to project success.
The Participatory Grantmaking Committee (PGC), composed of community representatives, leads the decision-making process, reflecting BxCF's commitment to equity and local empowerment. To ensure fair and thorough evaluation, committee members adhere to confidentiality and conflict of interest policies.
