2025 Partners in Conservation Grants
This funding opportunity provides financial support for projects that promote environmental conservation, such as improving soil health and water quality, particularly benefiting low-income communities and people of color in East Multnomah County.
Description
The Partners in Conservation (PIC) Grants program offers funding for projects that improve soil health, water quality, climate resilience, sustainable agriculture, garden education, and fish and wildlife habitat restoration. The grants emphasize equitable conservation access for low-income communities and people of color, aligning with broader goals of sustainable and inclusive environmental stewardship.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, local governments, schools, educational institutions, and Native American tribes. Funding amounts range from $5,000 to $70,000, with project timelines up to two years. To qualify, projects must provide a clear public benefit and be based within the East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District (EMSWCD) service area, which includes all of Multnomah County east of the Willamette River, or serve its residents.
Applications for the 2025 funding cycle are due by 4 p.m. on December 17, 2024. This grant opportunity supports efforts to build sustainable conservation practices and enhance community resilience in environmental projects.
