The Nevada Department of Education announces the Early Childhood Innovative Literacy Program, aimed at supporting early childhood literacy and readiness programs for children under six years old. This initiative, funded by the State General Fund, distributes $70 million to expand prekindergarten programs and implement innovative early literacy strategies. Applicants may apply for funding to expand high-quality preschool access, establish or expand early literacy programs, or modify infrastructure to improve services. Priority will be given to projects that leverage private or federal funds, demonstrate successful outcomes, or serve areas with demonstrated needs.
