Description

This grant type is dedicated to increasing the capacity for infant and toddler care by adding 8 infants or 10 toddlers to a space dedicated to that age group. It aims to address the specific need for more infant and toddler spaces throughout the state. Eligible applicants must be owners of child care programs, actively work with a Child Care Aware Start-up Coordinator and Health and Safety Specialist for at least 45 days, and submit their application within 60 days of the expansion or new license issue. The grant awards up to $20,000 for adding infant or toddler capacity.
