The maximum amount that can be requested per event is $8,000.

Eligibility for the Special Events Grant is restricted to nonprofit organizations that are organizing a free event aimed at attracting visitors to Edwardsville. The event must be marketed, and its target audience should include both local residents and out-of-town visitors. The grant application process involves submitting an online application or a printed form along with necessary supporting documents. The deadline for submitting applications for the 2025-26 Special Events Grant is March 1, 2025. After the submission deadline, recipients will be notified by email. The city emphasizes that the funds are distributed on a reimbursement basis, and the expenses eligible for reimbursement include those related to advertising, promotional campaigns, and municipal charges for public services.
