RAMAC Foundation’s Microgrant Program
This program provides funding to nonprofit organizations and small businesses in specific areas of Racine County for educational projects or programs.
Description
The Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC) Foundation offers a Microgrant Program aimed at supporting organizations for projects or programs that incorporate an educational component. Grant proposals are reviewed quarterly, and although preference is given to nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, applications from small businesses with fewer than 50 employees will also be considered if the project aligns with the Foundation's purpose. Organizations must be located east of I-94, covering areas such as Sturtevant, Mount Pleasant, Caledonia, Franksville, Wind Point, Elmwood Park, City of Racine, and North Bay.
Eligible applicants must complete a grant request form and provide either a completed budget section on the form or submit a separate budget. Grant amounts can be up to $1,000 with no minimum specified. Organizations are allowed to apply for funding for only one project or program in a 12-month period. Proposals must be submitted by the quarterly deadlines of March 1, June 1, September 1, or December 1. The total amount of funding available may vary from year to year, and submission of a qualifying proposal does not guarantee funding.
If funded, recipients must sign and submit a grant agreement, recognize the RAMAC Foundation as a funding source in any related marketing or advertising materials, and submit a report within 60 days after the project’s completion. Failure to comply may affect future eligibility. Grant decisions are made shortly after each deadline, and applicants will be notified via email regarding their application outcome. For questions, applicants can contact Anna Clementi at aclementi@racinechamber.com or call 262-634-1931.
