The Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust has updated its grantmaking guidelines for the 2023-2024 cycle to broaden its support and address the evolving needs of the Maine community more effectively. The Trust will focus on arts and culture, highlighting Maine's diverse cultural heritage, alongside continuing support for historic preservation and environmental initiatives. This cycle marks a shift from exclusive support for past grantees to a wider eligibility criteria, making the grant process competitive. The Trust will support arts, culture, and environmental education within its program priorities, moving away from direct funding of education, immigrant, refugee programs, and social services unless they align with the new priorities.
