The Park City Chamber of Commerce / Convention & Visitors Bureau (PCCVB) administers the Sustainable Tourism Grant, designed to support programs and projects that align with the goals of the Park City & Summit County Sustainable Tourism Plan. This grant initiative aims to fund efforts that enhance sustainable tourism in Summit County, Utah, by supporting environmentally, socially, and economically responsible tourism practices.
Applications for the 2025 funding cycle will be accepted from April 1 to May 2. Eligible applicants may request up to $30,000 in funding, which may partially or fully support their proposed project. The funding is not available for employee salaries, but it may be used for hiring consultants who provide external expertise, such as those evaluating event waste management or sustainability strategies. Projects must either establish or promote tourism within Summit County and clearly demonstrate their contribution to sustainable tourism goals.
To qualify, applicants must be members of the Park City Chamber of Commerce in good standing by May 2, 2026. While nonprofit and private sector entities may apply directly, public or government organizations are only eligible when collaborating with non-profit or private partners. All projects must be located in Summit County, Utah.
The grant application undergoes a multi-step selection process. After an internal eligibility review, qualified applications are scored by a designated committee using a standardized rubric. Final funding decisions are subject to the availability of grant funds and approval by the Park City Chamber and Visitor’s Bureau Board of Directors.
Key dates in the grant cycle include the opening of the application on April 1 and the closing deadline on May 2. Committee review and scoring take place throughout May and June, with final board approval and award announcements expected in late June. Grant recipients will be officially notified by Monday, July 7.
