Grant Opportunity: Miami County Grant Opportunities

Types of Grants Available:
1. NICF Impact Grants: For projects over $25,000. Applicants need to complete the Letter of Intent portion of the application. There is no deadline associated with these grants.
2. NICF Community Support Grants: For projects needing several hundred to several thousand dollars. These grants are designed to support multiple organizations throughout the community. There is no deadline associated with these grants.
3. NICF Micro Grants: For grant requests that are $2,000 and under. There is no deadline associated with these grants.

Geographic Area Served: Miami County and its communities.

Grant Making Areas of Interest:
- Education
- Health
- Human Services
- Arts & Culture
- Environmental
- Community Development
- Recreation
- Youth Development

Priority Given to Activities That:
- Reach a broad segment of the community, especially those whose needs are not currently being met.
- Request seed money for innovative opportunities.
- Stimulate additional funding.
- Promote cooperation and avoid duplication of effort.
- Help make charitable organizations more effective and self-sustaining.
- Address one-time projects or needs.

Lower Priority Given to:
- Projects where the Miami County Community Foundation is the sole funder.
- Grants for ongoing operating budgets or public schools.

Exclusions:
The foundation will not consider grants for religious organizations solely for furthering religion, political activities, national organizations (unless benefiting Miami County citizens), grants benefiting the donor or donor's family directly, contributions to endowments (except Sustainability Awards).
