2025 Community Investment Grant

Ceiling: $5,000
Applications Due: May 01, 2025
Private
Cox Charities

This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in Arkansas that address community needs through ongoing programs, helping them enhance their impact without duplicating existing services.

Description

Cox Charities Community Investment Grants are available to nonprofit organizations operating within the Cox Communications Arkansas residential service areas. These grants, administered through Cox Charities, are designed to support impactful community-based programs by offering financial assistance up to $5,000 per selected organization. The grant cycle for 2025 is currently open and will close on May 1.

Eligible applicants must be tax-exempt under IRS code 501(c)(3), physically located within a Cox residential service area, and demonstrate a record of sound fiscal management and governance. Additionally, applicants must offer services that meet identified community needs without duplicating existing programs. Organizations are required to measure and evaluate their program outcomes and are only allowed to submit one application per market. Submitting multiple applications in a single market will lead to disqualification.

Priority is given to applications that demonstrate the ability to leverage other funding sources. Projects requesting funding should be focused on specific ongoing programs rather than one-time or special events. Funding will not be awarded to organizations if the Cox Charities grant would be their sole source of financial support. The grant is intended to support the core functions of a program or initiative, rather than administrative costs or broader organizational operations.

Ineligible funding requests include those for athletic clubs, capital expenditures, endowments, foundations acting as pass-through grantmakers, fundraising and marketing expenses, administrative salaries not tied to direct service, religious or political activities, and requests supporting one-time or special events.

To apply, organizations must access the online application portal linked on the Cox Charities Central website. For questions, applicants can contact Olin Ericksen at olin.ericksen@cox.com. The application period remains open through May 1, 2025.
