Montana Mental Health Trust Grant 2025
This grant provides funding to support projects that improve mental health services and treatment for individuals with serious mental illness in Montana, focusing on prevention, crisis intervention, and transitional support.
Description
The Montana Mental Health Trust provides grant funding to support initiatives aimed at the prevention, treatment, and management of serious mental illness among both children and adults in Montana. The Trust focuses on enhancing mental health services through various means, including education for medical providers on prescribing practices, training for law enforcement on crisis intervention, and support for individuals transitioning from in-patient mental health facilities to independent living. Additionally, the Trust funds children’s mental health programs and peer-to-peer services.
For the 2025 grant cycle, the Trustees prioritize projects in specific areas: research and dissemination of pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment strategies, development of integrated programs for individuals with co-occurring disorders, comprehensive mental health services across Montana, transitional housing for individuals released from treatment facilities, and the establishment or enhancement of crisis intervention systems aimed at diverting mentally ill individuals from the criminal justice system.
The total funding available for the 2025 grant cycle is capped at $300,000, with individual grants not exceeding $30,000. Applications must be submitted electronically in PDF format by 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on November 15, 2024, to MontanaMHT@gmail.com. Applicants are encouraged to align their proposals with the Trust’s preferred funding priorities to increase their chances of receiving support.
