This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations in Texas that focus on improving middle and high school education, STEM programs, and financial literacy for students.

Description

UWorld, a leader in online learning tools, offers the UWorld Cares Community Grants program to support organizations dedicated to improving education. This philanthropic initiative reflects UWorld’s commitment to fostering success in education through innovative and sustainable programs. The grants focus on middle and high school education, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and financial literacy. UWorld aims to provide students with greater opportunities by addressing key educational needs and removing barriers to learning.

The UWorld Cares Community Grants program accepts applications from January 1 to March 31 annually. Organizations will be notified of their application status in May. Applications must be submitted through UWorld’s online portal to be considered. The selection process prioritizes programs that effectively address community-specific educational challenges and demonstrate sustainability and impact.

To be eligible, applicants must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charities with at least two years of active status. Eligible organizations must also operate within Collin, Dallas, Denton, or Tarrant counties in Texas. The funding must support programs related to middle and high school education, STEM, or financial literacy. Organizations that do not meet these criteria, including political groups, sports teams, lobbying organizations, and those affiliated with discriminatory national organizations, are not eligible. Religious organizations may apply only if funds are used exclusively for secular, community-based programs open to all individuals.

UWorld does not provide direct funding to public, private, or charter schools. Instead, funding is directed to nonprofit entities that align with its educational mission. The company emphasizes strategic investment in education as a means to uplift communities and promote long-term success for students.
