Charity Pot Grant
This funding opportunity supports small, volunteer-run organizations with annual incomes under £350,000 that are working on grassroots projects for long-term social change and non-violent action.
Description
Program: Charity Pot Grants
Funder: Lush
Award Details: Charity Pot grants range from £100 to a maximum of £10,000 per project/application, with the average grant being between £2,000 and £4,000. The maximum award of £10,000 is rarely given to allow for a wider range of projects to be supported. Funding is directed towards campaigning project costs, but core costs may be considered in exceptional cases.
Eligibility: Organizations with annual incomes of less than £350,000 that are run entirely or predominantly by volunteers can apply. Both registered charities and non-registered groups are eligible. Non-secular, religious, or military organizations cannot apply. Projects must align with the Lush values and ethics and should prioritize long-term change and non-violent direct action. Priority is given to small grassroots groups that address overlooked causes.
Other Relevant Information: Applications can be submitted at any time but should allow at least 3 months from application to when funds are needed. The application process involves submitting organization details, project details including a clear project plan and budget breakdown in pounds sterling (UK currency), providing details of two independent referees, and providing bank account information for grant payments. Successful applicants will be listed on the Lush website but the value of the grant will not be publicized. Feedback on the project is required within a year of receiving funds.
