General Operating Support Grant 2026
This grant provides $10,000 in unrestricted funding to nonprofit arts organizations in Georgia to support their general operations and enhance their community impact.
Description
The FY26 General Operating Support (GOS) Grant, offered by the Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA), provides $10,000 in unrestricted funding to nonprofit arts organizations in Georgia. This grant aims to support the general operations of arts organizations, enabling them to fulfill their missions and serve their communities effectively. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with arts-based missions and an annual operating budget of at least $100,000. Eligible expenses include salaries, rent, utilities, marketing, and other operating costs incurred between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
Applications are due by February 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., and must be submitted through GCA’s online grant system. Key components include a detailed narrative, a budget form, a list of FY26 arts programs, and support materials demonstrating the organization's artistic impact. Organizations may only apply for one GCA grant per fiscal year (e.g., GOS, Project Grant, or Arts Education Program Grant). Applications are evaluated on community impact, the quality of arts experiences, and organizational capacity. Only high-scoring applicants are funded, as GCA awards grants until available funds are exhausted.
Organizations with fiscal agents, local government entities, schools, and non-arts organizations are not eligible for this grant. Applications must reflect how the organization engages underserved communities, fosters accessibility, and aligns its programs with its mission. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed. This is a reimbursement grant, meaning funds are provided after expenses are incurred and documented.
