Assistance Grants Program
This program provides financial assistance to public water systems in Colorado to help them improve water quality and comply with state drinking water regulations.
Description
The Assistance Grants Program is a state-funded initiative aimed at supporting public water systems in Colorado that are committed to excellence in water quality but lack the financial resources to achieve compliance or address water quality challenges. The program provides funding to help systems reach or maintain consistent compliance with the Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations.
Each year, the program allocates a total of $150,000, with individual grants capped at $25,000. Awarded projects must be completed within the calendar year in which they receive funding.
Eligibility
All public water systems in Colorado are eligible.
The grant funds projects that:
Help systems achieve or maintain compliance with Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations.
Address potential or existing water quality issues.
