2024-2025 Social Service League Grant
This grant provides financial support to non-profit organizations in Tompkins County for short-term projects that address significant community needs.
Description
The Social Service League of Ithaca is offering grants for 2024-2025 to support non-profit human service organizations in Tompkins County that address significant community needs. Eligible applicants are non-profit, incorporated human or social service providers in the county. Public agencies and individuals are not eligible for this funding.
The maximum grant request is $3,000, with typical awards ranging between $1,000 and $1,500. Grants are intended for one-time events, projects, or initiatives that an organization's current funding cannot support. The League does not provide ongoing operating expenses unless the application demonstrates how the program will continue after the grant funds are used.
Key Grant Guidelines:
Projects must be sustainable without continued support from the Social Service League.
Funding is not available for capital fund drives, deficits, or requests for ongoing financial support.
Previous grant recipients must submit a final project report to be considered for new funding.
Only one proposal may be submitted per organization per funding cycle. However, multiple applicants sharing the same fiscal sponsor may apply if they are independent from each other.
Applications must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024. If you cannot submit the form online, applications can be emailed to jmazzello@hsctc.org. For any questions, applicants may contact John Mazzello at the Human Services Coalition at 607-273-8686 or via email.
This grant is a valuable opportunity for organizations seeking to address key community needs in Tompkins County with focused, short-term projects.
