The primary goal of the program is to provide financial support to organizations that contribute to cultural enrichment through various programs. The total amount of available funding for the program is capped at $100,000, with individual grants not exceeding $15,000. Applicants must match the grant funding dollar for dollar, requiring a 1:1 match for any funds awarded. The total amount granted to each project is determined based on a percentage of the project’s total budget. This matching requirement ensures that the funds are used efficiently and that projects have sufficient financial backing.

The Flagler County Cultural Council has moved the grant application process online to make it more accessible and streamlined for applicants. A rigorous scoring system has been established to ensure the maximum funding is provided to projects that most effectively contribute to the community’s cultural growth.
