T.R.A.I.L.S. grant program
This program provides funding to off-road clubs, associations, and non-profit organizations in the U.S. for projects that promote safe riding, trail maintenance, and land access preservation.
Description
The T.R.A.I.L.S. grant program, launched by Polaris Industries Inc. in 2006, aims to support off-road clubs, associations, and grassroots groups in the United States. The program focuses on promoting safe and responsible riding and preserving access to trails. Organizations can apply for grants to fund trail development and maintenance projects, safety and education initiatives, lobbying efforts, and other projects related to land access. Grant requests should be submitted by March 1 or September 1 for review by the Polaris T.R.A.I.L.S. committee, with notifications sent within 30 days after the end of the review month. The maximum grant amount is $10,000, and organizations can apply for up to two grants per year. Applicants must be 501(c)(3), 501(c)(7), government, or non-profit organizations. A Results Report and a trail file in GPX or shapefile format are required for approved grants. Fire, rescue, and law enforcement organizations are not eligible for this grant program.
