Description
The City of Raleigh’s Community Enhancement Grant (CEG) provides annual funding to local nonprofits and faith-based organizations that serve low-to-moderate-income individuals. Organizations can apply for grants ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 for projects that promote self-sufficiency and align with the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) objectives and Raleigh’s 2021-2025 Consolidated Plan. To qualify, applicants must be 501(c)(3) entities serving Raleigh’s low-to-moderate-income residents and be able to document income eligibility for their clients. Additionally, organizations that apply for $25,000 or more need audited financial statements.
Applications for the 2025-2026 grant cycle, covering projects starting July 1, 2025, are due by 3 p.m. on December 3, 2024. Prospective applicants must attend one of the mandatory virtual information sessions on October 15 or October 22, 2024. The application review process will occur from January to March 2025, followed by recommendations from the review committee, with final funding decisions by the City Council in May.
