Clean Vessel Act Grant Program

Min: $5,000
Applications Due: Rolling
State
Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW)

Description

The Clean Vessel Act Grant Program offers financial assistance to improve pump-out stations at motorboat reservoirs in Colorado. This funding aims to help marina concessionaires replace existing pump-out stations, thereby reducing the risk of improper waste disposal into waterways, which can harm aquatic wildlife. Eligible applicants include third-party entities, such as local government agencies, park and recreation departments, and water districts. Applicants must match the federal funds with non-federal cash or in-kind contributions. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

All projects must ensure public access, cost-effectiveness, and maintenance for at least 10 years. The grant application process involves contacting CPW area staff, obtaining approval, and submitting an application. Projects are reviewed by a panel, and funding is provided on a reimbursable basis.
