Federal Historic Preservation Grant
This funding opportunity supports projects that preserve historic resources, such as surveys and restorations, benefiting the public and requiring matching funds from the grantee.
Description
The Federal Historic Preservation Grant aims to support projects that provide public benefits through the preservation of historic resources. Eligible projects include architectural and archaeological surveys, design guidelines for historic districts, and restoration of historic buildings listed in the National Register. The grants are matching grants that reimburse up to 60% of approved costs for projects with a public benefit, with the remaining 40% to be provided by the grantee as matching funds. Applications for the next round will be accepted from December 1, 2024, through February 1, 2025. The selection process prioritizes projects that align with the State Historic Preservation Plan and focus on public benefit.
