Nominations open for Good Neighbor Award
This award recognizes and honors residents of Worthington, Ohio, who selflessly contribute to their community through volunteerism and supportive actions.
Description
The Good Neighbor Award, presented annually by Worthington’s Community Relations Commission, recognizes residents who contribute positively to the community by volunteering, offering help without being asked, or performing actions that enhance Worthington as a welcoming and supportive place to live. Established in 1993, the award celebrates individuals who foster cooperation and goodwill within their neighborhoods, often without seeking any recognition for their contributions.
Nominations for the Good Neighbor Award are accepted in two categories: Adult, for nominees age 18 and over, and Youth, for nominees under 18. Nominees must reside in the City of Worthington, Ohio, and the actions for which they are nominated should be voluntary—neither part of paid employment nor a mandatory school activity. Each nominee should exemplify what it means to be a supportive and active neighbor who makes a positive impact in their local community.
The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2024 Good Neighbor Award is December 31, 2024. Interested residents can complete the nomination form online or download it for submission. Completed forms may be submitted by email to WCRC@worthington.org or by mailing them to the Good Neighbor Award office at City Hall, located at 6550 N. High Street, Worthington, OH 43085.
