The EDA Grant Program aims to support tourism marketing, promotion, and development throughout Maryland, with a total funding of $9.6 million awarded from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration’s American Rescue Plan. The program specifically targets the economic recovery of communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, providing funds to various organizations to enhance tourism and outdoor recreation. Eligible applicants include state and local government agencies, economic development organizations, and nonprofit Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs). The minimum grant amount is $50,000, while the maximum is $250,000, with applications evaluated monthly after the 20th.
