Accessibility Study for BNCs in Argentina
Grant Title: Accessibility Study for BNCs in Argentina - This grant aims to support non-profit organizations and educational institutions in conducting a comprehensive study to improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities at 11 Binational Centers across Argentina.
Description
The Accessibility Study for Binational Centers (BNCs) in Argentina is a grant opportunity offered by the U.S. Mission to Argentina, managed by the Public Affairs Section (PAS). This discretionary grant program is designed to support non-profit, non-governmental organizations and educational institutions in conducting a comprehensive accessibility study of 11 Binational Centers across Argentina. The goal is to improve the accessibility of these centers for individuals with physical, visual, hearing, and cognitive disabilities.
Applicants may request funding to conduct a survey that includes detailed recommendations to enhance the accessibility of each BNC. The recommendations must address specific accessibility needs, particularly where physical limitations exist, such as the absence of elevators. The results of the study will help guide strategic improvements to make these centers more inclusive for individuals with disabilities.
The grant offers funding between $15,000 and $22,250, and no cost-sharing or matching is required. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations and educational institutions. For-profit entities and public institutions are not eligible to apply. The project must begin around February 1, 2025, and be completed by October 1, 2025.
Applications must be submitted by December 15, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Argentina time. Grants will be awarded in U.S. dollars if the recipient organization has a U.S. dollar bank account; otherwise, payments will be made in Argentine pesos. Further details and application procedures can be found on the RACI website, which is administering the program on behalf of the U.S. Embassy in Argentina.
