Arena Youth Enrichment Grant
This grant provides financial support for underprivileged youth in Chelan and Douglas counties to access skating lessons, shows, and related activities, promoting enrichment and skill development.
Description
The Arena Youth Enrichment Grant, established by the Town Toyota Center, aims to provide opportunities for underprivileged youth to learn to skate or attend shows who might not otherwise have access. Grants cover various activities, including one-day use or six-week lessons for Learn to Skate, private rentals with skates, attending a show, and other skate classes. Applications are accepted online on a rolling basis and are awarded throughout the year. Eligible applicants must state the goals, target audience, and anticipated benefits of the grant. Award decisions are made by fund advisors, who notify applicants within 30 days of the deadlines.
Eligibility extends to schools and non-profit organizations supporting youth activities and enrichment within the Public Facilities District of the Greater Wenatchee Regional Events Center, covering areas in Chelan and Douglas counties and specific cities. Applicants must be 18 years or younger, and funds must be used within three months of the award date. Successful organizations must wait six months before reapplying. Funds cannot be used for past activities and must be paid directly to the Town Toyota Center at the time of service. Grant requests cannot exceed $2,500 per organization per year, except for educational institutions serving many students. Recipients must provide a statement and photos of the event within two weeks of the award.
