Description
The Tama County Community Foundation provides grant funding to charitable organizations that address local needs and improve the quality of life for residents. Since 2005, the Foundation has awarded $2.6 million in grants, including $164,618 in 2023, and manages total assets of $3.4 million to support these initiatives.

Tax-exempt organizations with other classifications may also apply if their projects are deemed charitable; these applicants must consult with the Foundation before submitting proposals. Applications for the current cycle are accepted from November 15 to January 15, with awards announced in March. A volunteer committee comprised of community members reviews all applications and selects projects based on their potential impact on Tama County.
