Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis

This grant provides significant funding to local nonprofits in Indianapolis that are tackling community challenges in key focus areas, with a structured application process culminating in an annual awards celebration.

Description

The Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis awards annual high-impact grants of $100,000 or more to local nonprofits addressing challenges in one or more of its five focus areas. The exact amount of funds available each year is determined in January, based on donations from memberships, the Leaders of the Future Program, and other contributions. The process includes four steps: a Letter of Intent (LOI), a Full Application, a Site Visit, and a Finalist Presentation at the Annual Celebration in June, where recipients are announced.

For the 2025 grant cycle, the timeline begins with the LOI form becoming available on October 25, 2024, and submissions are due by December 13, 2024, at 5 PM. Nonprofits are encouraged to attend one of the Information Sessions on November 6 or 7, 2024, held via Zoom and in person, to better understand the application process. Following review, nonprofits will be notified by February 24, 2025, if their LOI has been approved, and they will be invited to submit a full grant application by March 14, 2025, at 5 PM.

The process culminates in the Annual Awards Celebration on June 17, 2025, where finalists present their projects, members vote, and the Change-Makers are announced. Membership donations and pledges, which determine the grant pool, are due by December 31, 2024. Members may also join Focus Area Committees to engage deeply with community issues and agency solutions, with the signup deadline on January 10, 2025.

Nonprofits seeking to apply must be classified as public charities with tax-exempt status under 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(3). Applications submitted outside of the scheduled process will not be considered.
