White Fund Grant for the Well-being of People in Ohio
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in Tiffin and Seneca County, Ohio, to enhance community well-being through projects focused on education, health, culture, and environmental improvement.
Description
The Tiffin Community Foundation offers two primary grant programs to support community well-being in Tiffin, Ohio, and Seneca County: the White Family Charitable Fund and the Betty Jane Memorial Fund.
The **White Family Charitable Fund** is open to public and private tax-exempt organizations in Tiffin and Seneca County, aimed at improving various aspects of community life. Eligible applications should address objectives like promoting personal achievement, education, cultural enrichment, environmental improvement, health, volunteerism, and community involvement. Priority is given to projects fostering collaboration and self-sustenance among nonprofits, while applications focusing on routine maintenance, operating costs, and religious or political activities are typically not funded. Applications are reviewed quarterly, with deadlines on March 6, June 5, September 4, and December 4. Submissions can be made to the Foundation's address, and special consideration is provided for youth-focused projects under the Youth Advisory Council (YAC), with a separate deadline of March 31.
The fund is managed by the Tiffin Community Foundation's Distribution Committee, comprised of board members and community volunteers who assess each application’s impact and alignment with foundation priorities. The committee’s decisions are communicated by mail, and denied applications are generally not reconsidered. Application forms can be requested via email or phone, and a downloadable application is available online. For additional details or assistance, the Foundation’s office is open from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Thursday.
