Survey and Planning Grant Program
This funding opportunity supports historic preservation projects, such as surveys and educational initiatives, primarily for Certified Local Governments, but also available to various non-profit and educational organizations.
Description
The West Virginia Division of Culture and History is now accepting applications for the Survey & Planning Grants, designed to support a range of historic preservation projects. This includes architectural and archaeological surveys, National Register nominations, predevelopment plans, and heritage education projects. Funding is provided by the Historic Preservation Fund, National Park Service, targeting Certified Local Government (CLG) Program members primarily, although non-CLG entities such as state or local government agencies, not-for-profit organizations, for-profit organizations or firms, and educational institutions may also qualify under certain conditions. Grants require a match of 60/40 for Non-Certified Local Governments and 70/30 for CLGs, calculated based on the total project costs.
